I was born in a countryside village, and grew up there. To broaden my view, I think it’s an efficient way to learn something from the interview to the famous people such Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos etc.

Jeff is a really determined man who invented Amazon from the scratch, then created Blue Origin which is another high-tech company in the space industry similar with SpaceX.

  • Love physics more than CS (computer science), but have self-awareness not to be good at physics
  • Engineering mindset
  • one way door and two ways door strategies to make decision
  • the encouragement to be a first person to take the space cargo
  • sustainable resources on lunar surface, trying to land human into the moon and manufacture the energy there
  • true seeking methods and culture
  • quickly make decision in an organization is to escalate it instead of being one peer exhausted first, need the organization culture support it (similar Elon’s companies ???)
  • More senior person in a meeting should speak last, trying to let junior person to speak it out first … which can avoid the senior person wrongly leading the angles, or pollute the meeting…
  • data collections and metrics, it’s wrong not because the collected data, it’s because you are not measuring the right thing.
  • Daily work, puttering, gym, and work, mostly for technology things.
  • with crisp documents before the meeting, read that doc during the first 30 minutes of the meeting.
  • Be stubborn on vision, but flexible on the details
