Comparsion between virtualbox and virmware on macbook pro early 2015

My macbook pro is relatively old, the performance of VM app is more important. Here are some issues I encoutered during using windows 7 on Vmware fusion pro and virtual box.

  • Both vm apps need to install drivers to support usb 3.0. VMware needs to enable settings firstly, then install Intel usb 3.0 driver. But for virtual box only needs to install extensionl pack.
  • But for macbook internal memory SSD card reader, both cannot recogoniz it on windows 7 guest, which still not be resolved by me currently.
  • It seems that virtual box comsume more host memory comapred to Vmware. If your pc is elder, the Vmware could be better option.
